Mahesh Karki

Mahesh Karki is an experienced Building Information Modeling (BIM) professional with strong expertise in digital construction technologies, project coordination, and design management. With a background in civil engineering and a master’s degree in BIM and Digital Construction from Aalto University, Finland, he combines technical knowledge with practical project experience to deliver efficient and innovative solutions in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.

He has worked as BIM Manager on several major projects, including the Butwal International Exhibition Hall Construction Project and Karma Residences, where he played a key role in implementing BIM workflows, coordinating between project stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with design and construction requirements. His skills cover model coordination, clash detection, quantity estimation, and BIM strategy development, helping projects reduce rework, save costs, and improve decision-making.

Mahesh is also the Founder of Nepal BIM Forum, a professional platform that promotes the use of BIM and digital technologies in Nepal’s construction sector. Through this initiative, he has been actively involved in spreading awareness, building networks, and encouraging collaboration to strengthen the adoption of digital construction practices in the country.

In addition to his project work, Mahesh has trained professionals from over 20 countries, sharing his knowledge and experience to build global capacity in BIM. He has also contributed to both national and international projects, applying digital solutions to improve construction processes and performance.

Passionate about innovation and digitization in construction, Mahesh continues to advocate for wider BIM adoption and digital transformation, aiming to set new standards for efficiency, sustainability, and collaboration in Nepal and beyond.
