- More Description
In recent years, Nepal has been actively enhancing its infrastructure, particularly in the realm of bridges, to improve transportation connectivity and overall development. Traditionally, the design and construction processes in Nepal have faced challenges such as cost overruns, delays, and inefficiencies due to fragmented workflows and limited collaboration among stakeholders. Collaboratively undertaken by the Department of Roads (DoR) and supported by the Nepal BIM Forum, this project utilized BrIM to streamline the design process, improve documentation accuracy, and enhance project visualization where Forefront Engineering provided the Technical support for the BIM Implementation in the project.
The Key Benefits of BrIM Utilized in the Projects
Enhanced Design Precision: BrIM allowed for detailed structural modeling, reinforcement detailing, and accurate quantity estimations, thereby minimizing design flaws and errors.
Improved Project Management: By providing a digital representation of the bridge throughout its lifecycle, BrIM enhances project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, leading to reduced costs and delays.
Facilitated Collaboration: Through a common data environment stakeholders can easily access and share project information, fostering better communication and coordination.
