Ltd. is pleased to announce the signing of a contract with Upper Arun Hydroelectric Limited (UAHEL), a subsidiary of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), to provide consulting services for Building Information Modeling (BIM) implementation and support for the Upper Arun Hydroelectric Project. The Upper Arun Hydroelectric Project is a 1,063.36 MW peaking run-of-river hydropower project located in Sankhuwasabha District and is one of Nepal's largest and most strategically important energy infrastructure developments. The project is expected to significantly strengthen Nepal's power generation capacity and contribute to the country's long-term energy security and economic growth.
Under this engagement, Forefront Engineering will support the Client in implementing BIM processes and standards, reviewing and coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models. Through effective BIM implementation, the project team will benefit from improved coordination, enhanced information management, reduced design conflicts, and more efficient project delivery. This engagement reflects the growing adoption of digital engineering technologies in Nepal's infrastructure sector and highlights the increasing role of BIM in delivering large-scale hydropower projects.
