Jagadiswar Man Shrestha

A highly experienced Structural and Quality Control Engineer with over four decades of professional experience in major civil infrastructure projects, particularly in water resources and hydropower. He began his career at the Department of Irrigation in BS 2036, where he played a pivotal role in planning, supervising, and executing irrigation and water infrastructure projects, eventually serving as Senior Divisional Engineer until BS 2074.

Following his distinguished public service, he contributed significantly to the private and international consulting sectors. From BS 2074 to BS 2076, he worked with Geodata–SIDeF as a Quality Control Engineer and later served as Senior Quality Control Engineer under the SMEC EMAY CMS JADE Association in collaboration with ECOCODE. His work ensured strict adherence to engineering standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance across complex terrain and multidisciplinary teams.

He later joined Chilime Engineering and Consultancy as the Civil Engineering Design Chief from BS 2076 to 2079, where he led the structural design of hydropower and infrastructure projects. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to innovation, structural integrity, and sustainable design.

He holds both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from IOE, Pulchowk Campus, specializing in Structural Engineering. With a growing interest in digital construction technologies, he is currently exploring Building Information Modelling (BIM) to enhance design coordination, quality control, and lifecycle management of infrastructure projects. His transition toward BIM reflects his forward-thinking approach and dedication to integrating modern practices into Nepal’s engineering and construction landscape.
