BIM for Project Managers – Integrated Project Delivery and CDE Utilization

The program focuses on Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), Value Engineering with BIM, and the use of a Common Data Environment (CDE) to streamline collaboration, improve decision-making, and deliver successful projects. Participants will gain practical knowledge on how to obtain and use information from BIM models for quantity estimation, scheduling, quality control, site safety, and RFIs.

Through case studies and hands-on exercises, project managers will learn how to guide BIM modelers and engineers, verify 2D designs against BIM models, and use a CDE to manage markups, tasks, and project communication effectively.

Course Modules

  • Module 1: Introduction to BIM for Project Managers
  • Module 2: Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) with BIM
  • Module 3: Value Engineering using BIM
  • Module 4: Understanding and Utilizing a Common Data Environment (CDE)
  • Module 5: Practical Use of CDE for Project Managers
  • Module 6: Obtaining and Using Information from BIM Models
  • Module 7: Guiding and Managing BIM Teams
  • Module 8: Case Studies & Hands-on Workshop
